Delfine is a Senior Consultant with Melo Risk Advisors.She specializes in Employee Benefits Implementation, Risk Management, and Diversity and Inclusion training, focusing on education, communication, and of best practices in the multi-cultural workplace.
Delfine is the Vice President for the Tennessee Latin American Chamber of Commerce and was presently appointed as a member of the leadership board of the Mayor’s New American Advisory Council (MNAAC) and the task force for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. She works very closely with government leaders to address issues in our communities.
Delfine is a Certified Diversity Professional (CDP), an instructor for the Society of Diversity Institute, and serves as a member of the Diversity and Inclusion committee within the Middle Tennessee Society for Human Resource Management (MTSHRM) group. Also, Delfine in on the executive board of the National Organization of the Workforce Diversity and works with business leaders to help identify diversity as a crucial component of operations, and how inclusion is the encompassing practice of embracing the differences, skills, and qualities that each employee brings, which ultimately affects each organization’s bottom line.
Additionally, Delfine consults multi-cultural businesses with risk management, compliance and communication, and the development of innovative cost-containment strategies, which minimizes employee turnover and potential claim concerns. The ultimate goal is to assist business leaders and provide full support, ensuring the business maintains a competives edge, recruits and retains top talent, controls cost, while still maintaining employee satisfaction.
As a Texas native, Delfine’s 20 years of experience expands from having the opportunity to hold positions from an office manager and acting Judge at the Justice of the Peace office, to being a member of a special response team for the United States government. In 2007, Delfine transitioned to Nashville and worked in the “Consumer Advocate and Protection Division” with the Attorney General’s Office legal department.
Delfine is accomplished and well-versed in national security topics, intrusion systems, & vulnerabilities; has an extensive prior experience with the intelligence community. Delfine completed her Paralegal Studies from the University of Tennessee. She holds her Certified Diversity Professional Certification (CDP) and is an instructor and member of the Society of Diversity Institute. She is also licensed with the Department of Commerce and Insurance in Life, Health, and Risk Management/Property/Casualty.
